Welcome to my digital space! I’m Heather Pelkie, an innovator and leader in higher education and learning and development leader. With a rich career spanning over a decade, I’ve been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge curricula and immersive learning experiences. My passion lies in pioneering innovative solutions within the EdTech and healthcare sectors of higher education, yet my experience spans to corporate learning and development in such industries as sales, finance, and food & beverage. Beyond my role in innovation in higher education, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies, engaging with undergraduate and graduate students to hone their skills and expand their knowledge of effective communication practices.
As an innovation leader, my dynamic team and I embrace a stage-gate methodology, artfully blending project management principles with design thinking. This approach enables us to meticulously test, prototype, and pilot revolutionary tools and learning experiences to enhance student outcomes.
